What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

Core Beliefs

The following are the core beliefs of New Harvest Ministries International based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. Our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

God

We believe there is but one living and true God everlasting, of infinite power, wisdom and goodness; Maker and Preserver of all things, both visible and invisible. And in the unity of this Godhead there are three Persons of one substance of eternal being, and equal in holiness, justice, wisdom, power, and dignity; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Jesus

We believe that the Son, who is the Word of the Father, the very and eternal God, of one substance with the Father, took man's nature in the womb of the blessed virgin; so that two whole and perfect natures, that is to say, the Godhead and the manhood were joined together in one Person, never to be divided, whereof is one Christ, very God and perfect man, who actually suffered, was crucified, dead, and buried, to reconcile us to the Father, and to make atonement, not only for our actual guilt, but also for original sin.

We believe that Christ did truly rise again from the dead, and ascended into heaven and there sits until He shall return to judge all men at the last day.

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit, proceeding from the Father and the Son, is of one substance, majesty and glory with the Father and the Son, very and eternal God.

The Bible

We believe in the verbal and absolute inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, known as the Bible, composed of sixty-six books and divided into two departments, Old and New Testaments. We believe the Bible is the Word of God, the full and complete revelation of the plan and history of redemption.

What Happens After Death

We believe that eternal life with God in heaven is a portion of the reward of those who receive and hold Jesus as their Lord and Savior (the born again, regenerated, believer); and that everlasting banishment from the presence of the Lord and unending torture in hell are the wages of those who would not believe and receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Salvation

We believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood for the remission of sins that are past, for the regeneration of repentant sinners, and for redemption from sin and from sinning.

We believe, teach, and firmly maintain the scriptural doctrine of justification by faith alone (Romans 5:1).

We believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood for the complete cleansing of the born again believer from all indwelling sin.

Baptism

We believe that water baptism, commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20), does not cleans us from our sins but is symbolic of our death to the old life (going under the water) and resurrection to a new life (Romans 6:4). This is to be done in the name and authority of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).

Sanctification

We believe in sanctification (being set apart). While sanctification starts when a saint is born-again and it is completed when they are glorified. Sanctification is a progressive work and is a life-long growth process in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 4:16; 2 Peter 3:18).

Baptism of Holy Spirit

We believe that the Pentecostal Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire is obtainable by a definite act of faith (asking the Father for it) on the part of the born again believer (Luke 11:9-13). This supernatural baptism is subsequent to salvation and is a distinct aspect of the Christian foundation. The purpose of this baptism expressed in Acts 1 is to empower the born again believer to be a witness for Jesus.

Healing

We believe in divine healing. This healing includes but is not exclusive to physical, mental, spiritual. This is obtainable because of Jesus.

Jesus' Return

We believe in the imminent, personal, premillennial second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Church

The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe it is the responsibility of every believer to dedicate his life to carrying out the work of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20; Acts 1:8).

Purpose of The 5-Fold Ministry

We believe that the five fold ministry of Apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher are still for the church today. Their purpose is to train and equip the saints for ministry. (Ephesians 4:11-13)

Equality in Ministry

We believe that there is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female (Galatians 3:28) in the Kingdom. All are the same thus there is no restriction on ministry because of gender or race.

-Simply Said-

Mankind

Humans, both male and female, were created in God's image for His glory. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created without sin and appointed as caretakers of the rest of God's creations.

The Fall

When Adam and Eve chose not to obey God, they ceased to be what they were made to be and became distorted images of God. This caused them to fall out of fellowship with God, and fractured all of creation ever since that time.

Salvation

Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone.

The Church

The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Ressurection

Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth.
